It Works

Linda Metcalf's book is filled with approaches that work. Her years of experience in working with solution focused therapy has provided her with skill in using these tools with many populations. I have used her techniques in overcoming resistance and 'they work'. If you are looking for counseling strategies that work in terms of moving past resistance, this is the book for you. The material is especially useful for adolescents, yet has applications for other populations as well. A clerly-written, useful book for School Counselors

This book is a practical resource for School Counselors. It presents the Solution-Focused Brief Therapy approach, along with providing forms that can be reproduced to integrate into your school counseling programs. Some parts are a bit repetitive, but it's an easy read that has real applications for School Counselors. Very handy!
