The serial killer, "The Judge" is still on the loose. To prove his point he kidnapps a protected witness, Grace Lennox and blows up the FBI helicopter. Now Flynn O'Connor has less than four days to find Grace. The Mesa Verde safe house is no longer safe. The Judge seems to know every move they make. Marisa Kelso is sent to investigate the feasability of keeping Mesa Verde in operation. She is also a long time former lover of Flynn. Seems like a conflict of interest. Alexander Sterling, Eric Crowe, and William Graff, father of Russell [from the previous book] are all suspects and are being watched by the FBI teams. They lose Crowe. And get shot at. Becky Delaney, Crowe's assistant in his antiquities shop, seems to have disappeared - is she involved with "The Judge". Flynn and Marisa get Jonas Treadwell, a psychiatrist specializing in criminal psychology, to help in profiling the Judge and the other suspects. Flynn still has the hots for Marisa, even after two years and she is not unwilling. But the Judge has to be stopped before he kills again. Definitely recommended - great covers - excellent characters - great pace to the plot - You may really enjoy this pair of books.
