Unconventional and free-spirited, Amanda Giles has one grand ambition -- to live as a Bohemian in New York, and fulfill her dreams as an artist. But first she must honor a death bed promise to her brother and delivers vital papers to his Union army encampment. There, she agrees to become a spy for the Union, much to the chagrin of captain Daniel McGrath, her new partner in an undercover mission that will put both their lives -- and their hearts -- on the line.
After reading this book, I'll be watching for future works of JL. Her characters are real, fun, and totally enjoyable. The plot went on and on........It's easy to recommend this one!
A Great Story

You'll be hooked from the first chapter. These two characters go through more exciting adventures than 10 books would allow them to. It's a civil war romance; with great historical detail. The author makes it believable and suspenseful right to the end. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a great book to read on vacation.
