This story is about events during World War II; Werner Thomas - a Jew of German/Polish origin - is taken to the headquarters of the Sicherheitsdienst in Amsterdam.A member of the Gestapo, Johann Stegemann, interrogates him and trusts Werner with his life when he reveals that he is a spy for the Allies.
