Tessa Gray has found friends among the Shadowhunters, supernatural protectors of mankind who possess angelic blood. But Tessa's new life is threatened when some members of the Clave challenge Charlotte's leadership and pressure her to resign as head of the London Institute. If Charlotte is forced out, Tessa will be forced to leave as well due to her warlock blood, making her easy prey for the still-at-large Magister. As Tessa and her handsome Shadowhunter escorts, Will and Jem, journey far and wide to unravel the Magister's secrets, they quickly learn that they have no secrets from the vengeful Magister...and nowhere is safe...
VERY WELL WRITTEN (I suggest you read before the Mortal Instrument Series)

I am an expert reader. I can tell when an author is good and not so good. To my own misfortune I read faster than most authors can write which means I have to stop reading for a while and wait for authors to “catch up.” I stopped reading a few years ago and have not picked it back up until now-2017. My tastes have changed from years ago and I am finding that my tastes now are different than years ago.
This series is very well written and is one of the better series that I have started reading. This author is a very well written author who should try to write more books in this genre. SO FAR ONE OF MY MORE FAVORITE AUTHORS. I look forward to more from her.
Authors may want to think about continuing a series with a couple of years into the future of the characters. Life's stories never end so why should the stories of the loved characters end. Most of these kind of series characters are around age 16, but I am sure readers would like to know more about the characters when they age towards 18 and on.
