The toughest nun of New York City has finally found her brother, but their reunion is anything but happy. He's under the sway of the demon Aion, who seeks vengeance upon his old buddy Chrono. In his... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Rosette's dream has finally come true as she comes face to face with her lost brother Joshua. The problem is that he doesn't even recognize her as he has become possessed by Chrono's horns. Besides now being Aion's flunky, he's really just window dressing for Aion's main goal...to capture Azmaria to use in his plans to attack Pandemonium, the demon realm. To battle him, Chrono needs all his power back, and in a brash loss of control, he might just use up all of Rosette's soul to do it! And why does Aion's maid look a little too familiar to Satella's shocked eyes? Chrono Crusade the manga is superior to the anime in all respects. This volume has a lot of emotional heft to it because of the anti-climax of Rosette and Joshua's meeting. While there is a lot of tragedy inherent in the relationships here, there is also a light-hearted humor that was all too painfully missing from the latter half of the anime series. Even Aion and his crew have their humorous moments. But don't get me wrong, there is a lot of gore and demon battling, but it doesn't suffer from poorly animated shojoesque fighting poses. This original manga version just has more heart than the anime. Great book.
