if ever i needed to duplicate my mom's home cooking (but never bothered to learn how), this is the book to do it. i ordinarily have a great dislike for most 'chinese' cookbooks, because they usually contain bastardized versions of traditional cantonese dishes i grew up on. if you want to know how chinese people really eat, get this book!!!
