wonderfully diverse, informative, held my interest

At first glance, this appears to be a book about travel, but look more closely! As a parent of a Chinese daughter, I found the essays written here insightful. Stories recorded by Chinese women, comments about living and working in Chinese culture; I enjoyed this book and so have the friends to whom I have loaned my copy.
