All is war when love isn't fair... Don't ask... Deeply closeted to protect her career, Colonel Marcel Robicheaux has limited her love life to discreet flings with no strings-until the brazen but not entirely unwelcome advances of beautiful young Lieutenant Jordan McGowen send the seasoned officer running for cover. Don't tell... Saved from disaster by a timely transfer, Marcel is looking forward to retiring from the military. Just when she thinks she can finally let down her guard and ease out of the closet, Jordan suddenly reenters her life-only now she's a general's wife. While her marital status may have changed, her intentions toward Marcel have not, leaving Marcel caught between her heart and her honor. Secret passion amidst the heartbreaking compromise of Don't-Ask-Don't-Tell leads to sizzling romance in this Peggy Herring classic.
Again, Peggy J. Herring has written another winner. Love and waiting, hot romance, and true feelings. Life in the military. Watching what you say or do. Finding the Generals wife stalking her. Couldn't put the book down or turn the pages fast enough. Peggy writes true to life and I love that. Turns and twists through the book. I simply love peggy's writing.
Excellent story, gotcha plot

Peggy writes another successful gotcha plot. You always enjoy her erotic scenes, and honey, you'll like this one. She builds her characters and you get your money's worth with Peggy. Great read.
Calm Before The Storm

The writer had a God given talent for the art of an author. She grabs you up out of the nice comfy chair you are sitting in and she hurls you into her writings. You have no choice but to ignore your surroundings and delve deep into the very souls of the characters. It was as if she knew our very desires and wishes that were deep in our souls where nobody had ever gone before. She dared to tap into that very being and take us to a place of desire and need. And then.... it ended. Making me wish there was an extension of the book. Whomever contracted with this author to write for them - needs many gold stars. She is AWESOME and I will continue to read her writings.
Another Great one from Peggy Fleming

After 20 years in a military closet, Colonel Marcel Robicheau retires to start an antique shop with a friend from the military. Problems arise when the General's wife reappears and tries to interest Marcel in romance. Marcel is attracted to her friend, Crickets lover. Cricket is attracted to Marcel's mother, Roslin. Only Peggy Herring could take this mixed up affair and create an interesting and delightful book. My only regret is that I will have to wait a long time for another of Peggy's books.

This is a great depiction of the military background and characterization. I found calm to be intriguing, sensuous and fun.
