The perfect transitional synopsis

This book was exactly what I needed to make the jump from C to C++. Given my history with QuickBasic, I feel confident in recommending it to experienced students of any computer language. This great book doesn't play any games; it gives you the knowledge you need and can actually apply, without unnecessary chapters full of impractical theory. This should be the definitive reference for making the transition to C++ programming.

Outstanding: the best C++ book I've found
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 26 years ago
For experienced programmers, this book is ideal. Before finding this book, I looked at and read several thick books aimed at teaching C++ and they all raised more questions than they answered. This book explains all the concepts in a very clear manner and uses simple and well thought out examples to illustrate what is being taught. Despite this book being half the size (and price!) of others, I found it to be very thorough.
