Raging dragons, leaping cows, and baseball playing dogs all come together in this zany collection that explores a host of feelings from A(ngry) to Z(ealous). Brilliantly colored and brimming with endearing creatures, Woodleigh Hubbard's exuberant illustrations will charm even the youngest reader. The bold graphic composition, the humorous detail, and the universality of the emotions will appeal to readers of every age. Perfect for discussion time or playtime, C ls for Curious is an animated, colorful, and altogether unique look at feelings.
The illustrations in 'C is for Curious' have really attracted my daughter's attention, from age 1 to her current age of 17 months. She likes the bright bold illustrations, and each page gets different reactions from her--she giggles at the page titled 'Giggly', and hits the page titled 'Angry'. I enjoy the book myself because the illustrations are more sophisticated than those found in most children's books. (I actually bought the book for myself about 10 years ago because I loved the illustrations so much).
A Great Book!

This is a great book for teaching children words for emotions and numbers. I especially like the first book -- C is for Curious. In this book, you can find an alphabet of emotions from angry to zealous. Children may have a difficulty expressing their feelings with the right words. This is the book for teaching them the right words! Teachers and parents who are interested in using this book can also consider "Feelings" by Aliki which is a collection of pictures, dialogs and poems that portray various feelings.
