ABOUT THIS BOOK: BROTHERS ADAMS is the 7th book of the CROWS LAKE series. It details the lives of Luke and Darvin Adams, brothers of Thomas (Pappy) from book six. All of these books are of a western flavor about love and life. The story begins in early 1861 when Luke and Darvin join the confederacy to fight in the civil war. During the war, they learn, that their pops has been murdered and their family ranch has been burned to the ground. After the war, rather than return to the burned-out ranch, the two of them decide to join a wagon train heading west, planning to try prospecting for gold, with the hope of gaining enough wealth to start their own ranching operation. As the story meanders through the trials of war, then a difficult and dangerous 8-month journey with the wagon train, followed by 5 years of fruitless digging for gold, one would understand if the brothers were to become discouraged. But success is their destination and hard work is their modus operandi. They are determined to succeed. Will their dream of owning the largest cattle ranching operation in the state of Arkansas ever become real? Only time will tell....
