Britt Marie won my heart

I love books written by Fredrik Backman. I’ve read 9 of his books. Britt Marie is one of the best. She’s a remarkable character. The ending is beautiful.

My Grandmother pt 2

Great characters. Enjoyed even more than "My Gandmother Told Me..." (even though I'm not a fan of soccer). People can find themself at any age and help others anytime and anywhere.

Not great, was expecting more

I read "My Grandmother Asked[...]" by Backman, found it quirky and enjoyable, so was excited to read this one...but I thought it fell short. It wasn't necessarily bad, and I'm not sure if something was lost in translation this time, but I was rather bored and sometimes just confused by it. I remember laughing and enjoying the frankness of Britt-Marie in the beginning of the book, but that wasnt enought to carry the rest of the story. The character Britt-Marie is in "Grandmother," so it's not like I wasn't fully expecting her and her peculiarity. I probably won't read any more of his books.

Britt Marie is certainly worth knowing

This book was delightful. I would find myself laughing or crying throughout. It is a lovely reminder things are not always as they seem.

Excellent story and very well written

This is the third book of Fredrik Backman I have read and I have loved them ALL!! Still not sure which is my favorite because they are all so different but he doesn't disappoint. His characters are so quirky and the story line is always simple yet poignant. Can't say enough about this book and the author.
