Awesome

This book rocks. Throw in well thought-out fantasy, interpersonal politics, intrigue, magic, love and comedic jiggery-pokery and you have three quarters of this book. Throw in perfectly-described, beautifully breathaking scenery and you have it all. A truly fun romp, pushed along by great characters, who keep developing along the way. If you like mindless hack'n'slash, forget it; if you want intelligent writing, this is the book for you.

there are flaws, but this is still one of my favorite books

I admit, there are a few character flaws in this books, but it's still such an engaging novel with a great plot, that really makes up for the few flaws. I feel that I can really related to Thibualt. Haven't we all felt for someone, with out them feeling the same thing? (I may be reaching here...) Ms. Groell really amazes me, and I hope that she comes out with the next book in the Cloak and Dagger series soon.

My favorite new author

I saw this book in the bookstore and when I read the back and found it was the sequel, I had to find the original. At first, I was somewhat shocked by Jenifleur's behavior, but I quickly came to love both characters. I just yesterday finished reading Bridge of Valor for the second time. I enjoyed the mix of characters in this novel. It was fascinating to find out what this noble or that noble was going to do next. I can't wait for the next books to come out. My only regret was that I didn't find her books much later so that I could've read more of them before stopping to wait.

I really enjoyed it

I belive this is one of my favorite books. I acendentally bought this book not realizing that it was a sequal until it was too late, but I decied to read it anyways and I loved it. The chemestry between Jen and Thib is wonderful and I found myself laughing all the time at some quip or witty remark. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Laugh out loud funny!

Groell delights readers once again with her latest escapade involving the incorrigible Jenifleur and her ever-present, long-suffering partner Thibault. I was pleased to see the unique relationship between the deadly duo slowly begin to develop in this second volume. Thibault has, in his own charming yet unaware manner, quickly become one of my favorite characters in fantasy. His shock and chagrin at his beloved Jenny's mishaps and dalliances is simply laugh out loud funny! I find myself quoting passages to friends just to see their reactions. Two big thumbs up to Anne Lesley Groell for her remarkable book and I look forward to further adventures with anticipation and excitement
