A jilted wallflower, a reluctant bridegroom Earl

I love to come back to this again and again. Its about two people forced into marriage, one by her father's machinations, the other to avoid scandal. When his younger brother left Talia Dobson, the awkward, bluestocking, wallflower daughter of Silas Dobson at the alter and took off with half her dowery he made a mess and then some. To clean it up, Silas made the Earl of Ashcombe marry her in his stead, causing nothing but trauma for the both of them. Then after the wedding night Talia is sent to the family country estate by her husband, where she gets abducted. In the end they learn to accept one another and find more desire, love, comfort, and peace in the others arms.
