It introduces new vocabulary and some great describing words for young children. Patricia MacCarthy's illustrations are vivid and colorful and contribute to the overall experience of the fun to be had in reading this book.

This book is great to read out loud. We discovered this at the library and have added it to our home library because we all love the story and pictures. It has fun and snappy word sequences that make it appealing to very young children, and I think my daughter will enjoy it for several years.
