This 1982 text, edited by Noel Reynolds, offers a number of interesting and powerful essays conducive to the historicity of the Book of Mormon volume. One essay, by the late Eugene England, focuses on the Arabian Peninsula geography of the Book of Mormon, revealing that there existed a paucity of information contemporary with Joseph Smith on the topic of the Arabian Peninsula, and, furthermore, that the Book of Mormon contains elements in the text pertinent to Arabia that could only have been known to someonw who made that ancient trek recorded in First Nephi. Bushman's essay on the Book of Mormon and the American Revolution refutes the popular naturalistic assumption of many critics that the Book of Mormon reflects 19th century environmentalism, showing that the monarchy and system of judges in the Book of Mormon actually is quite at odds with the events of American history, contra even more modern critics of the text, even a quarter of a century on since this text was initially released. Notwithstanding much more on the topics discussed in this text have been published since this book, including "Book of Mormon Authorship Revisited" by Reynolds from 1997 that build up on many of these issues, this book would make a very good addition to one's LDS library.
