Kentucky horsemen clean up their act Dust-covered men who smell like horses are the norm at Gil Sorrent's farm. Until a trip to Emily Montague's bath shop changes their lives. Suddenly, Gil's lovelorn... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Although this story was sweet it was a bit of a disappointment to me. After reading The Perfect Blend, I fell in love with this author and her writing. This story just didn't add up to me. Why would a man not want his sweaty guy to smell nice? I also didn't care for how little the characters seemed to go to church or really even pray. This was not my favorite Love Inspired story and I am hoping other books by this author are better.

LOVE this book. Love hard-shelled heroes with soft centers - and Gil in Bluegrass Hero does not disappoint. He's got plenty of reason for the rough and tough exterior considering his past. The conflict between him and the lovely Emily is so well drawn, I truly didn't know how they'd work it out. I won't give away any spoilers - but the ending MORE than satisfies. :)
Another great read from Allie Pleiter

Allie Pleiter is one of my favorite authors, so I was very excited to find out that she had not one, but two books released this summer. The first, MASKED BY MOONLIGHT definitely did not disappoint. The second, BLUEGRASS HERO caught me right away and I couldn't put it down until I finished. Ms. Pleiter has a gift for creating uniquely wonderful characters that touch your heart and keep you reading. She tends to create couples from complete opposites such as disciplined banker Will Grey (tea drinker) and impulsive would-be entrepreneur, Maggie Black (coffee fanatic) in THE PERFECT BLEND. In this current release there doesn't seem to be any way the main characters, Emily, crime victim, and Gil, reformed criminal, can bridge the gulf between them. But love and the grace of God have other plans. And the best news of all - BLUEGRASS HERO is the first book in Allie Pleiter's new series, Kentucky Corners.
