Jade never expects when she sees him, her body will finally awaken after a fifty-year dry spell. Jade never thought that she'd be able to feel anything for another man after what had happened to her in the past. Well, Niccolo turns out to be one she wants, and one that carefully and gently helps her to fight her inner fears. While together, Jade and Niccolo have to figure out what their enemies are up to next and which Embraced one is supplying the information to them. Blood of the Damned is a must read! Plain and simple. If you enjoy Ms. Bast's Embraced vampires, you will not be disappointed. Jade and Niccolo are deeply emotional characters that know how to pull the reader into their lives. Jade has a terrible past. Niccolo's caring and showing her a way to deal with her fears, was touching. The love scenes between these two are always more than just about sex. I found myself drawn into their lives and enmeshed in their story. The plot is fast paced, nothing to get bored with here.
