Blessings and Wrath

God is indeed a loving God as stated in John 3:16. Also, so great is God's love and mercy, it is as high as the heavens above the earth as stated in Psalms. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Like a feather pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. (Psalms 103:11-13) Whoops, never thought of that. It states that God's love and mercy coincides with them that fear him. It is also ironic that the chapter of the Bible that contains the most known and quoted verse on the love of God also ends on the wrath of God in the third chapter of John. For God so love the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16) He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (John 3:36)
