Spencer and Charlotte. Best friends through college and own a bar together. He's a playboy that's the whole package. Confident in his looks, smarts, and abilities and also a nice guy. She's beautiful, smart, and quiet. The two of them have an excellent friendship and are each other's plus one when needed. Spencer is in a bind when his dad is selling the family business to a old fashioned family. His harebrained scheme to help his dad is to set up a fake engagement with Charlotte so his playboy lifestyle doesn't affect the business sale. He & Charlotte come up with rules for their engagement and do a good job of tricking everyone. The problems start when Spencer realizes he's falling in love with his best friend. But, does she feel the same way. Good slow burn of the friends to lovers story told from both points of view.
