Berlin is like no other city in the world. Despite the ravages of war, the brutal division of the wall, and the struggles of reunification, Berlin continues to look forward. You can marvel at historic buildings painstakingly renovated (such as the impressive Reichstag), or experience some of the most innovative modern architecture anywhere. But Berlin isn't about buildings. It's about feeling alive and vibrant. There's something for everyone. From museums like the Pergamonmuseum, with some of the world's greatest masterpieces, to poignant memorials like the Memorial to the Murdered Jews, to an exciting nightlife unlike any other city in Europe, Berlin will not disappoint. You'll have over 100 places of interest at your fingertips, with insider tips on cafes, restaurants, and shops. We've also given directions for sight-filled walks around the city, including both East and West Berlin, along the former Berlin Wall, and to the museums in Charlottenburg. So forget those large, bulky travel books. This handy little guide to Berlin is all you need to make your visit enjoyable, memorable-and easy. This updated 3rd edition features: Walking Tours Museums, Monuments, Historic Sights & Architecture Parks, Palaces & Gardens Dining & Nightlife Day Trips to Potsdam and Sachsenhausen Helpful German Phrases, Travel Tips, and Detailed Maps
This book was great! The eating recommendations were excellent. I was able to travel around Berlin easily and map out what to do and what to see. This is the only book you need for Berlin.

The best part of this book are the five walking tours (with maps). There's a Berlin Wall Walk along the former Berlin Wall, two walks in former East Berlin and two walks in former West Berlin. These walks are a great way to get to know this great city.
