This book has been created especially for newcomers to the art of origami by experts Steve and Megumi Biddle. Each of the twenty illustrated projects can be made in ten steps or less. The projects are arranged in order of difficulty so that your expertise will grow as you progress through the book. The creatures on these pages were inspired by animals that creep, crawl, swim, and fly through works of art in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and are drawn from both Asian and Western sources. Book jacket.
It's a nice book for the novice, but a young child would have some trouble with it. It's suitable for teen to young adult. The directions are very clear on some projects, but a bit confusing on others. Overall a good selection.
Fun, easy, rewarding

My 4- and 6- year old love doing the projects in this book. THe instructions are easy for them to follow, and, most importantly, the end results are rewarding. THere is enough variety to keep different kids' interest going-- from butterflies to large predators. A wonderful investment for hours of entertainment!
Great book for kids!

This book turned out to be everything people said in the good reviews. I bought it for my 10 year old granddaughter who had tried origami using another book that just left her frustrated. She can use this one with no problems so far and she is excited about making these figures all by herself. I am extremely pleased with it.
Excellent book for kids or beginners!

My daughters and I have taken up Origami for fun. We first checked this book out from the library. The designs are great and easy to understand. I loved it so much we decided to buy it. Both my girls are able to follow the clear directions and illustrations. (my girls are 8 and 9+) This is my favorite of the several books we have. As the book title says, it's great for beginners, children and adult. 5 STARS! You won't be disappointed.
