Becky is a love story, told through a series of rock climbs that the author's climbing partner, Becky, and he did--for a love of wilderness, and inner wildness, as much as for each other. One could call this book a very long "thank you" note, both to the granite mountains of California and to a most remarkable climbing partner. Bruce Fessenden Bruce is best known for making the first American ski descent of Denali, the highest peak in North America, with two other Squaw Valley skiers in 1977. He has skied many of the prominent mountains in the western United States and South America, including Huascaran, the highest peak in Peru. More recently Bruce has been writing about the reciprocal relationship between spirit and the natural world. He has published three books of poetry: Crimson Coat, Bones, and Chris, all of which are available through Amazon or through the author.
