Look how we keep sitting/and talking, long after the barbecue has died down--/the cousins, the grandkids, the hired man/who came to help put up the hay--/everyone awake! Look at the purple lupine!/The haze over the valley!/Who can bear to go in the house?/....One thing you can know for sure./It will be an eternity until the sun disappears/behind the mountains.
