Bebe's By Golly Wow

This is one of the funniest books I have EVER read (and I read about 4 books a week).Bebe is first introduced in He Say, She Say and is in the funniest scenes in that book - but she is the focus in Bebe's By Golly Wow.Dash the teenage daughter is a HOOT. Ms. Joe is extremely talented. She's nice too as I emailed her and received a fast, gracious response. Let's give her the noteriety she deserves.

I enjoyed the book because I could identify with Bee. However, I should have read He said, She said first in order to get the background of the characters. Nevertheless, once I started I could not hardly put the book. I like the way each chapter was about each of the characters. I will continue to look for books by Yolanda Joe.

I've read several books, but none surpass the quality of "Bebe's by Golly Wow." I loved the way the book kept a continuous flow from the beginning to end. I recommend this book to everyone

Bebe is a 40 something bank employee that returns to school to earn her degree. On graduation day, her life is changed in more ways than one. She meets the charming fireman,Isaac Sizemore. They hit it off right from the beginning and sparks fly. However, waiting to put the flames out is Isaac's teenage daughter Dash, which he is raising as a single parent. Dash finds it hard to believe that her father could have or even want another woman in his life. Since her mother left them both to "see the world", Dash has been the woman in her father's life. Dash also has the strong belief that her mother will one day return to be with her and her father. The friction between Bebe and Dash is both entertaining and heartfelt as they both learn acceptance of the other. Other important characters are Uncle Lucius, which lives with Isaac and Dash, LA, the best friend of Isaac that has a gambling problem that endangers everyone around him and then there is Sandy, Bebe's best friend who is a radio station exec. facing changes on the job.Bebe by Golly Wow is a must read book. It has a little something for everyone. The imagery that is used to tell the story makes you feel like you are actually a part of the scenes. Congratulations to Yolando Joe for an outstanding piece of work!!!
