Be My Baby Tonight

Do you believe in curses? Tim Trehan sure does. The star player for the Philadelphia Phillies has always been haunted by following in the footsteps of his older brother- always doing the same thing he does just months later. Now, twin brother Jack suffered an injury that ended his MLB career too soon, and Tim is terrified he will be next. So when his awkward childhood friend turned gorgeous young women appears at one of his games, Tim believes he has found a way to fight the curse. Suzanna Trent has always loved Tim. When they were growing up, she would do anything for him- homework, bail him out of trouble, good ole Suze would do anything. And her love for Tim has not faded over time. After spending a few hours together (and a passionate night in bed) Tim proposes that they head off to marry in Vegas. Thinking that he must have loved her all these years just as much as she did, Suze agrees and quickly becomes Mrs. Trehan. But Suze quickly finds out that Tim only married her in hopes of warding of the curse that could possibly end his baseball career. Before she can decide how to react, they find out another common factor between him and his brother- fatherhood. Suze is pregnant. Be My Baby Tonight by Kasey Michaels is an excellent read. The entire book will keep you on your toes, wondering if this couple can possibly make things work. Does Tim really love Suze? And is Suze actually in love with Tim, or just infatuated with the school boy she once crushed on? Michael's does a great job at making both main characters come alive, and you can't help but wonder who was really at fault for the rushed marriage- and hope that the adults can overcome all the obstacles.

Quick read... but good.

I read this book in a night. It was good in many places, but it got confusing in parts. The baseball angle of the book really wasn't played up that much, which was somewhat of a disappointment. But the characters were good, and well developed, which made it an enjoyable read. They aren't portrayed as holier then thou people who don't make mistakes, or have issues. Suzanna and Tim have more issues than the National Geographic. Which made it enjoyable to read. I would recommend it, but read Love To Love You Baby, which was the first in the series.

I liked this book

I enjoyed this book alot it some lol (laugh out loud) moments but the start of the realtionship with Tim and Suzanna made this book only 4 stars instead of 5 I mean he took her to Vegas to get married she should of known something was up but don't worry everything turns out great in the end and I really enjoyed the rest of the book. I plan on passing this around to my friends who love to read fun romance novels I recommand Love To Love You Baby

Interesting........ but there was something missing

I was really looking forward to reading this book because I had really enjoyed Love to Love You Baby. I thought reading about Jack's twin Tim would be hilarious. I was partitally correct. The beginning of Be my Baby Tonight started out promising I thought. But, because of the lies and deceptions between Suzanne and Tim, it got very muddled in the middle. There was no communication at all between them. It was like they were two totally seperate characters residing in one book. Tim managed to get better as the book went on. I found it hilarious how he went through the pregnancy symptons with Suzanne. Suzanne was a character I really did not like at all. She just was too... insecure, and mean too. She wasn't a very good heroine at all. The only reason I am really giving this book 4 stars is because I did enjoy reading about the characters that I had already met. Jack and Keely and Candy, and the new baby. Plus, the story of Margo the cat was cute too. I did think that the book got better right towards the end, but unfortunately the middle was something of a stumble for me. But, if you enjoyed Jack's story, I would recommend renting this at the library, or if you do buy it, buy it at a used bookstore.
