I feel W. Johnstone writes a very exciting book!! In all the Mountain Man series, the way these books are written you can actually relive the old west.Smoke Jensen, & his mentor Preacher are very loyal, trustworthy, family orientated men with a steel backbone & no backup in them!!(alot of good personal values) I recommend W. Johnstone's books only to those people who truly enjoy a great western & who can relate to what the author is writing about. So go ahead "Make your own Day"buy the book and you will see, trust me the books are hard to put down.

I ENJOY SMOKE JENSON WHEN HE'S PARTICUARLY NASTY AND INVENTIVE IN WAYS TO GET THOSE WHO WOULD GET HIM. AND WHEN JOHNSTONE USES THE LANGUAGE THAT THESE HARD CASES WOULD HAVE REALLY USED UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES. THE STORY IS GOOD. ANOTHER GOOD BOOK IN THE MOUNTAIN MAN SERIES.
