Really great place to start for a total beginner but especially if you already know how to play a gu

I bought the DVD and book/ CD separately and this is all three together. It maybe a little dated for some (it's 20 years old) but ii is a great way to learn and get you moving down the road with a bass. He has it geared for beginners and people who already know how to play a guitar,(which is where I came from). The thing that sets his stuff above the others, is he will show you a pattern and then on the CD he teaches the pattern with an actual song like "good hearted woman", "Old time Rock and Roll" "Peaceful easy Feeling" and ''Thatll be the Day". So it readily helps you see the context and application. Really great place to begin
