Good start

I disagree with the other reviewer. I, too, was looking for "different" readings, but that is not what this book claims to be. It is from "Bartlett's Familiar Quotations" and that is exactly what it is. They have a great selection of poems. Many of them are well known love poems, but I would hardly call Shakespeare "hackneyed." There are more modern poets like e.e. cummings and older standards like Shakespeare. If you are creating your own ceremony, or plan on choosing your own readings, I think this book offers a nice selection and is a great place to start.
