Good book. Page turner.

Bad Girlz

Wow! I just finished this book and am simply amazed. I went to the bookstore while on family emergency to take my mind off of things. I picked this book up and immediately was drwan in. I read until the bookstore closed and finished it when I came back home. The novel is written in true "ghetto" dialect which does not distract the reader, but enhances the story. Trust me, as an english major, I am very picky about an author's diction, but Holmes' diction fit right in. I hate when people spoil the book so I am not going to tell you the story;read it for yourself. I will say that from page one you will be hooked. I liked how it wasn't just one person's story i.e Tender, but three people's story and how they all became hooked together. There are many twists and turns and you will often find yourself making faces exclaiming "she did what!". Holmes blends the right amount of storyline, emotion, and details, not just steamy sex scenes. Everything is on point in this novel and Holmes- you have a new fan!

Tender, Tender, Tender............

Shannon Holmes hit it big with this story. His books always have me turning and turning page after page. But this book took the cake. I think every young teenage girl should read this. Especially the ones that think theirs no more hope cause this will surely lift your sprits. characters in the book: Tender's mom- and you nevered turned back just kepted on walking Tender- Keep on keeping on Goldie- could of been better Kat- B*tch Q- you just settled for less and miss out on a good deal This whole book shows how god never really did like ugly and he still don't after all these years ............... young B

This book will blow your mind

Big ups to Shannon for writing such a true and great page turning story. I used to be a stripper so I know first hand what its like in the strip clubs, at the parties and so forth. Although I never sold my body for money, I know many females who have. Some of those females are on drugs now, strung out and looking a hot mess. This book gives on the best insights in the stripping game and world, next to the movie "Player's Club". For those young females who think this is the high life - let me inform you that it is not. There are too many females trying to be like Kat and Ronnie from Player's Club, and not enough trying to be like myself or Diamond from the Player's Club. I recommend every female between the ages of 13 and 30 read this book and pass it along to each female you know.
