About the Author Derek''s first experience with Ayahuasca was in 2009 in Peru, in a small town outside of Machu Pichu. The story of how he got there was very mysterious. Derek has been working with plant medicine in one form or another for twenty-five years. His practice got supercharged when his Mother died in 2015. He wrote this book to help others overcome their fear of sitting with ayahuasca as a way of giving back. Derek has a Master''s in Public Policy and Administration, specializing in Behavioral Development.
