Wonderful

If you can read Portuguese, you have to read this book. I could not put the book down and it was not even because I wanted to know who the killer was, but because I could not get enough of Jo Soares's refined style. This is the story of a killer who is killing members of the Academia Brasileira de Letras (inspired by the Académie Française, the Academia Brasileira de Letras gathers on its Board of Temporary Members 40 prominent Brazilian and Portuguese writers). Trying to solve the mistery you will find Mr. Machado Machado, the officer responsible for the case, whose passion for literature, make the text richer and very interesting. Added to Mr. Soares' style, you will find a bit of romance and passion, great characters and a LOT of research about the year 1923. Don't miss it!!
