Fantastic, detailed account of Rock Festivals from 1967-1978
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 19 years ago
This book was excellent. Starting with Monterey pop in 1967, and ending with Cal Jam 2 in 1978, every large Rock Festival is covered. All aspects: fiancial, political, and social are covered in a detailed yet interesting manner. Very solid writing about these Festivals make you feel as if you were there. Robert Santelli is an excellent writer, a must read for anyone interested in the Rock culture of this era. His other book Sixties Rock: A Listerners Guide is just as good. I have had that book for 20 years and still refer to it all the time. Both these books compliment each other.
