Stitch them all and you'll have hangings and cushions and tea cosies to scatter all round the house This range of projects includes something for everyone beginners can start small and work their way up to something harder, like the spectacular, detailed, and colorful embroidery of a resting Cheetah with her cubs. Take the first steps by examining the charts, color keys, and graphs; move to the hints on preparation, mounting the fabric, and starting off your first length of thread; and finish off by taking the advice on washing and pressing and framing the completed work. The irresistible designs include a zebra; elephants; Siamese kittens toying with a ball of yam; pheasants; and peacocks. Brilliantly colored hummingbirds in bright foliage adorn a cushion and footstool and two scarlet macaws really stand out against a black background fabric 20 magnificent projects in all.

LifeLike images

A great book for Cross stitchers. Many images reflecting a real life image of several animals, including the walking tiger as on the cover, elephant, zebra, ducks and other birds and some smaller animals as well. Different designs in various sizes make for a well balanced book for projects

Very detailed depictions of animals

This book has some really beautiful projects, with very realistic and detailed portraits of many different kinds of animals. Projects in particular that appealed to me were the first project, which was a reproduction of a cave painting, and the gibbon hanging from a tree. There are very detailed charts, with DMC color suggestions, and beautiful color photographs for inspiration. There are also many ideas for how to finish the projects and make them into lovely gifts.I thought this was a wonderful book, one I would highly recommend to any needleworker who loves animals!
