Book Overview

FULLY REVISED EDITION CONTAINING NEVER-BEFORE PUBLISHED FACTS ABOUT THE JONBENET RAMSEY CASE, and much more In the first book to come out since the bombshell announcement this January that John and Patsy Ramsey were indicted in 1999 in the 1996 death of their six year-old daughter, JonBenet, Wendy J. Murphy, J.D. releases never-before published and disturbing details of the crime. She expounds upon the possible reasons why the grand jury voted to charge the Ramseys and how the couple managed to escape prosecution. Murphy, one of the nation's leading experts on victims' rights, followed the Ramsey case closely from the beginning and has provided legal analysis of the case on network and cable television for more than fifteen years. From that fateful day after Christmas in 1996, to the odd circumstances that led to the arrest of John Mark Karr, after he seemingly confessed to the crime ten years later, Murphy provides unprecedented insight into the truth. In one explosive chapter after the next, Murphy pulls the curtain back on many high profile cases and reveals little known dirty tricks that lawyers and judges use in the American legal system to hide the truth and cause victims undue and unnecessary suffering, all in the name of justice. Learn the real reason the jury in the Michael Jackson case voted not guilty, and why Kobe Bryant's case was dismissed before a jury even had a chance to hear the evidence. Find out how O.J. Simpson and William Kennedy Smith used "dog and pony show" tactics to distract jurors from paying attention to the evidence. Bill O'Reilly, from the Fox News Channel's The O'Reilly Factor, shares Murphy's commitment to justice and fair treatment for crime victims. In his foreword to the book, O'Reilly says that Murphy "uses her pen like a blowtorch" to analyze and scorch all the unscrupulous legal tactics used in the name of the justice. He calls And Justice For Some "her towering achievement." Hon. Andrew P. Napolitano says the book is a "tour de force" that tells with passion and conviction the tough, harsh tales of the "government breaking its own laws, the courts doling out justice by whim" and "the system blaming the victims." Dominick Dunne, Author of Justice: Crimes, Trials, and Punishments, praised Murphy's "fearless television reporting on the JonBenet Ramsey murder" and commended her book for "exposing the injustices of our justice system."

And Justice For Some (Murphy)

Wendy Murphy, a former prosecutor, knows the court system very well. She names names and gives no one a free pass in her effort to expose the true workings of our justice system. If you've ever had the unfortunate experience of being victimized by crime, or have been unfairly accused of such, this book is a must read. She also presents fair evidence detailing the manipulation of the public by the media. Facts are withheld...

Fascinating expose and how legal system needs reform!

Wendy Murphy is a lawyer who represents victims of violent crime. She goes behind the scenes and shows us how defendants (criminals, the accused) are taken care of by the legal system more than their victims. In fact, often defense attorneys investigate victims and try to put the blame for the crime on them instead of where it belongs. Since Ms. Murphy comes from a background of having prosecuted criminals, she is well...

It's about time! Thank you Wendy Murphy!

Great work by Wendy Murphy! It's about time someone had the courage to expose what goes on in our courts on a daily basis. There are many people out there with a warped interpretation of the constitution (see the post by Mr. Salem Witch trials), they shame (or sue) victims into silence and hide behind a person's right to counsel in order to promote a social agenda that puts society at risk. What law abiding citizens need...

An eye openning book

Defense attorneys will hate this book. But if you are a victim of a crime, you need to read it. Murphy, a former prosecutor turned victim's rights advocate, shows how our system has turned its back on crime victims. For example it shows the harm our criminal justice system does to victims when we allow defendants to gain needless access to private therapy records. Did you know that if you DON'T commit a crime, you CAN'T intrude...

wendy tells it like it is

I have the privilege of knowing Wendy personally, and one thing I have always admired about her is that she is FEARLESS. This woman is honest, compassionate, intelligent, a tiger in court, and a God-send to victims facing the harsh realities of the American Justice system.....It is an OUTRAGE at how corrupt the legal system has become, and how it overtly destroys many victims rights in hopes of protecting guilty offenders-...
