If someone you loved were savagely beaten and left in a coma, how far would you go to find justice? How far could you go if those responsible for the crime were protected by power, money, and corrupt... This description may be from another edition of this product.
I purchased this book in 1995 in a drugstore. It is the best action novel I have ever read! I have looked in vain for another action novel of the same caliber for years. I have now read this book 3 times over the last few years and I never grow tired of it. Devlin is what every man wishes he could be. If you are looking for high art this is not the book for you! If you are looking for a double fisted, .45 caliber, ride of a novel, this is it.
awesome, fast paced, great characters.

having read all of Mr. Clarkson's book as well as hundreds of other action dramas I'd rate him right up there with anyone. Well written, hot, furious, and fun. It's a one day read, PERIOD!!!

John Clarkson is the Mickey Spillane of the '90's

I picked up "And Justice for One" on a whim. I couldn't put it down to save my soul. What an incredible debut for a thriller writer! Clarkson's first is also his best: the two sequels aren't in the same class. But he has proven himself a master of the revenge thriller, the best since Mickey Spillane scorched the eyes and sensibilities of '50's readers with "I, The Jury." As a lover of great thriller writing from Andrew Vachss to Jack Higgins, Alistair Maclean to Desmond Bagley, I have to add John Clarkson to their ranks. This is right up there with other great, though underrated thrillers, such as Alfred Coppel's "Show Me a Hero," Anthony Hyde's "The Red Fox," and Gerald Seymour's "In Honor Bound," and Wilbur Smith's "Hungry As the Sea" -- all of them among the most exciting action thrillers ever penned. I only hope Clarkson can regain the form that produced this stunning story in his next outing.
