A Precious Jewel of a Book

AN EDIBLE JOURNEY is a pleasure on so many levels. It's a tour of Canada's Caribbean aka Vancouver Island, from the staid villages of oh-so-British Victoria, along the wild south island and up the interior warmland coast to villages of the North, with a side trip to Tofino, Capital of Storm Watching. "Fine Food, Farms, and Vineyards" only begin to define the attractions. Who knew that this cozy enclave made so many world-class wines, meads, and ciders, not only in the Cowichan Valley but including on Saturna and Denman Islands?
