Drawings that speak..

Florence Starr Taylor has a special gift. Her drawings seem to have movement! One of my favorite drawings is "In Mother's Step"..I can feel the slight tug on the little girl's arm, and a swish of their skirts. In "Leaving the Graveyard"..I hear the slow muffled clip clop of the horse's hooves on the dirt road..The drawing before that "Saying Goodbye" made my eyes tear..many of us have been there...you can feel the quiet, somber mood.. Taylor captures the true spirit of these hardworking, simple people. A meditative book to be used when looking for some strength.
