A scorned woman is determined to expose her ex-lover for the cruel man he is, but she has her work cut out for her since he is a globally beloved singer--will she get her revenge or lose everything? Felicia Spears is the epitome of a woman scorned. Nothing is right in her life since her ex left, and she blames him for all of her misery. It may have been three years since Cooper walked out and left her destitute, but it feels like it was just yesterday. Now that Cooper is a big singing sensation, he's riding his newfound fame all the way to the top with his second wife, Evelyn, planted firmly by his side. Felicia has every right to be bitter and angry. In the early days, she made incredible sacrifices to help ensure Cooper's success. And it seemed the moment his star began to rise, Felicia was replaced. Now she's hell-bent on getting what she feels she deserves, especially since that means tearing down Cooper's new life. Now at her lowest point, she's determined to take matters into her own hands. She'll let the world know Cooper isn't the perfect man as his songs lead many to believe he is--and finally get her revenge.
I recently discovered this author and I have purchased and read several of her books. I had high hopes when I read the synopsis for this book only to be disappointed. I think she should slow down and spend her time writing something with a little more depth.
Felicia should have seen the writing on the wall that Cooper was not into her even though he married her. All the signs were flashing at her that it would not work from: his selfish ways, no respect for her and all the things she put herself through trying to prove her love to him and her obedience to guide him as his manager. All the things she put herself through to allow and tolerate him getting involved with her sister was plain as day that this was not the man for her. There was certainly no love involved. The novel just from present to the past and at times it was hard to keep up. The story was incomplete by leaving so many subject areas unsolved like: How did she handle him giving her a STD?, Why didn't she truly confront him after she spent time in jail for his drugs?
The ending was so stupid. I hope the author get it together soon because this is a wasted effort on foolishness.
