Heavy, but helpful and applicable

I was given this book by a relative who wanted to help me heal some pain in my 20s and now 11 years later I got the courage to pick it up again. The author is also an adult child of legal or emotional divorce and makes no distinction between the two. He argues that both are harmful to the child. Children, while apparantly resiliant at younger ages do indeed suffer consequences that often don't manifest until mid life hits and then, voila, they are ill equipped to keep their marriages together. This book has been very helpful to me as I look back at decisions I have made and has helped give me the strength and ability to nuture my marriage and young children - to break the cycle of divorce!
