Rich treasury of Prayer & Devotion

Prayer, prayer and nothing but prayer. Lays out a month's worth of daily prayer with seven prayers for each day: 1) affirmation of the divine presence; 2) adoration, praise, thanksgiving; 3) confession, forgiveness, unloading; 4) positive affirmation and reception; 5) petition; 6) intercession; 7) meditation. The last of these is longer and takes the form of contemplation. Many of the prayers are written by Weatherhead himself, but lots of them are from the Bible or the tradition of the church (saints, leaders of the Protestant church, etc.). This is a rich, rich book. Perfect addition to anyone's "prayer library."
