Lady Mirthton is humiliated to discover that her father has confessed to being a spy, and his dying words to her are cryptic--something about a list which is hidden at the sign of the sabot. Now her life is in danger, and she turns to war hero Marcus Forester for help. Marcus accepts her proposal--now Lady Mirthton must accept his.
I loooved Tia's Valentine, and so it makes sense that I loved this book too! It's one of the best regency romances I have ever read, and I have read a lot! Wonderful chemistry between the characters, with some very heartwarming romantic situations between Lady Mirthton and Clairmont. And a great mystery too! It's actually NOT predictable! Not to mention the author's wonderful sense of humor! I couldn't put this one down. I wish the author wrote a 100 books. Very highly recommended!
