fun, unusual, informative -- highly recommended

This book is short but fun, fascinating, and packed with interesting information. The book is organized as a virtual school field trip to the aquarium. Each two-page spread features a specific sea creature. You initially see a black & white outline of the creature's skeleton -- but when you pull the tab, you see the creature in full color, superimposed over the skeleton, with key parts identified. There are also plenty of interesting facts about each creature. The creatures featured include the great white shark, the lionfish, the leatherback turtle, the manta ray, and the porcupine fish. Highlighted facts include details about diet, nocturnal activities, size, breeding habits, habitat. The book is delightfully illustrated and presented in a very kid-friendly manner. It's fun to play with -- interesting and unusual. It's sure to keep your 4-8 year old occupied for hours, and it's fun for adults too. Highly recommended.
