This is a wonderfull little book that not only introduces the reader to object-oriented programming, but also describes the implementaion of a SmallTalk-like language. The book does not cover the more advanced topics of OO programming, but is an excelent tutorial and introduction to OO concepts. The section that covers the implementation of the language provides hard to find insights to how OO languages work at a very low level.
