An astonishing novel that raises questions about the nature of right and wrong. When the police arrest her father for embezzlement, Elinor can't believe he is guilty. Just before he is taken to prison, her father gives her the means to retrieve his locked briefcase. Could the stolen money be inside? Does her possession of the briefcase make Elinor, too, a kind of thief?
I loved this book because it is a mystery type book and I did not know what to expect on the next page. It is an interesting book and makes me want to jump into the book and help the family out. I would recommend this book.

As an older teenager who reads young adult books for kicks, I found this book very enjoyable. It has an interesting plot and emotional depth...
