This is another wonderful bok by Wanda Brunstetter. Lorainne and Wayne are engaged to be married when they are are in a terrible car accident that kills some of their friends and leaves Wayne with one leg amputated. He decides to do the "honorable" thing and release Lorraine from their engagement. Lorraine tries through the whole book to prove that she loves Wayne despite his handicap but she has also has to work against her mother and Wayne's mother conspiring against her. Lorraine's ex-fiance who went away for a job and never came back returns and tries to rekindle a relationship with her. Feeling dejected from Wayne, plus Wayne encourages her to date Jake because Wayne says he doesn't love Lorrain anymore, she begins to date Wayne. An tornado that sweeps through their area forces Wayne and Lorraine together and makes them realize they still love each other, no matter what. I am always so pleased with Wanda's books and this one in no exception. You'll love it!

I was so excited to see a new series by Wanda Brunstetter because I love her books about the Amish. I was not at all disappointed by this first book in her new series. In fact, I feel she explored new topics and territory she's not yet explored in her writing. While the author is known for her happy endings, but in this book, she kept the reader guessing.
