In 6 Habits of Highly Effective Bosses, co-authors Stephen E. Kohn and Vincent D. O'Connell reveal the half dozen indispensable human relations practices used by the bosses everyone admires most,... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Leadership is becoming increasingly important in organizations. High employee turnover, increased human resource issues, financial problems and customer service issues are just some of the issues that are affected by poor management. 6 Habits of Highly Effective Bosses discusses the skills necessary in order to improve leadership within an organization and improve the overall bottom line for customers and company stakeholders. The book begins by discussing the warning signs that companies should look for in order to determine if poor management exists. The book then discusses 6 habits that bosses should possess in order to be effective. For example, habit 4 discusses setting proper boundaries. Often supervisors, have a hard time defining the boundaries between themselves and their employees. This lack of boundaries can result in a lack of respect for the bosses authority. 6 Habits of Highly Effective Bosses discusses how to set and maintain boundaries. While the book does have a very similar style to books by Stephen Covey, I do feel that the information contained within the book is essential knowledge to any manager/supervisor looking to improve their effectiveness.

This title is a bit suspected of getting the benefits from the similar one: 7 habits of Highly Effective People. But it's really a good book for all the managers. A must!
