The definition of what makes a classic sports car will always be a hotly contested issue among enthusiasts. Vivid images of power and grace fill the pages of this incredible bargain. Focusing primarily on prestigious postwar Ferraris, Porsches, Jaguars, Corvettes, and Mustangs, the book also includes several other great makes and models. The author examines how economic climates have stimulated the public's demand for speed. As this giant, all-color photo gallery proves, sports cars are like fine wine -- the final analysis is a matter of taste.

Great Book for Sports Car Enthusiasts

Bill Reynolds' photography is stunning in this book. A variety of high performance cars is reviewed in relation to the time period they were produced, starting in 1945 and ending in 1996. Brief, yet detailed, descriptions cover many topics including a range from technical specifications to notable style designs on each car. If you enjoy viewing beautiful cars or want to know what the engines can do, you should enjoy this book. Another interesting point to the book is the comparison between the European market and the United States market for sports cars. I highly recommend this book for your personal collection or as a gift.

It's just great the way the author divide the sport car history in cicles. I also like the same marques: Ferrari, Porshe... The pictures are beautiful!
