A Must-Have

This is an excellent investment for anyone interested in learning how to break into the world of children's publishing. It had a ton of great information and was surprisingly easy to read cover-to-cover. The listings are great and informative, but I would recommend checking out the publisher's web sites for the most current information (ie if they are accepting unsolicited manuscripts, etc. as this information changes periodically). Overall, I highly recommend this as a must-have tool to publishing.

This book is a "must have" for anyone writing for children. It contains everything you need to know in order to find a publisher that fits your needs. You will also find pertinent information on the types of manuscripts particular publishers are interested in seeing and the requirements for submissions. I can't do without it! Carol Horst
Very helpful resource

I have previous editions of this book and all have been very helpful. Not only does it list addresses and contact information for different publishers, it also gives information about what they're interested in, how many books of different types they publish, what/how they pay, etc. It also contains author/artist interviews, lists of helpful resources, and tips.
Simply a "must have"

Working children's writer? Aspiring children's writer? Read no further -- you need this book. You're simply not going to find a better researched, more complete guide to children's publishers than this. I doubt there's a literary agent or successful submitting author in the world of kidslit who doesn't refer to this book often. If you have an old edition, I'd also strongly consider getting the current book, as the publishing world changes day to day. Kudos to Alice and her team for another great effort. Jon Bard [...]
